I had a brief visit to North Carolina and returned to move out of my apartment....but I am baaaack! And...oh so ready to spill the beans.
Theme song of the week: WORK THAT -- Mary J. Blige & Busta Rhymes
Boy OVERLOAD:
Ol' School Friend....TOTALLY did not find the time to help me move. However, since I am trying to be more introspective about these "love/ faux-love" thing we call life...I am taking a step back. I DID call him late. So even though he would have gained 6 brownie points for being there for me, I am only going to deduct 2 for the no-show. I still have to deduct because the call to explain didn't come until the next morning. I really don't have time for that kind of behavior. I can take a "no" but you have to "man-up" and say it right away. Just like I have to "woman-up" and get off of the PROCRASTINATION TRAIN!
Hmmph!
Blackpeoplemeet.com -- I had the craziest conversation ever with this guy Khalil on bpm. I don't usually call out names..but this guy was such a jerk that I would like to nationally flag his wackness! He practically begged me for my IM, email, and number (so he could get to know me better). I was slightly concerned..so I just gave him an AIM that I do not use often.
His FIRST Question: "Would you curtail your party life if you were to get into a serious relationship?"
I suddenly felt like there was a scrolling marquee on my forehead....and the Bright Red Lights were scanning JUDGER!!!!!!!!!!!
We then got into a heated IM war where I informed him that he knew nothing about the women he was sooo ready to judge. He made correlations between the party girl and the "ho" that can't be made into a housewife. He said that party girls were bubbleheads that had nothing going for them. I slapped his theory down by quickly informing him that he was talking to an honors student on her second bout in grad school that could do circles around him mentally, emotionally and physically. Then I mentioned that when he learned to spell, got a terminal degree and a job that couldn't dismiss him on a whim...then and only then could he EVER IM me again.
LMAO..was that too much?
I understand that some guys have a natural apprehension to dealing with girls that like to party alot. But here is the TRUTH: Not ALL women party like SOME men party!
Just because I like to go out and dance DOES NOT mean that I am taking the "party" home with me (or into my bedroom)! Some of us actually go out and dance (some drink, some don't) and go home ALONE!
The part that killed me was that this guy had made this ASSumption based off of one pic on my profile that showed me dancing ALONE at a party.
BPM is KILLIN' ME!!!!!!!
I'm out,
